Compassionate Corridors

We are living In a world filled with chaos, here, there and everywhere. The drive for a better lifestyle ended up making us blind to our surroundings. We have often heard the saying, “Money is a humble servant and also a dangerous master.” Whatever is happening around the world echoes this prominent stance. We as human beings are eternally weakened by our desires for the ‘better’ life. Our lust for a perfect life ends up making us our imperfect ourselves. Glorious are those people who live for others without caring too much for themselves.

What should be for the betterment of others and not just ourselves? Giving alms, smiles, wisdom and compassion always helps. A part of you becomes ever so bright. On one end while the world is crumbling right before our very eyes, I can’t but smile at the progress our country is finally making. One by one our tears of pity are turning into tears of joy. We had been so accustomed by lies, corruption and falsehood that it’s hard to digest goodness anymore. We were alright when we knew there was corruption. Somehow we are unhappy about making progress. The green-eyed monster of envy is making the corrupt people of the past still determined to make chaos.

No one can deny the PM’s efforts for an emerging dawn. His efforts for peace are being acknowledged throughout the world. However the ones that are not happy are the corrupt who were undoubtedly greedy and had their hands in the cookie jar. Everywhere I look around and all the stories of social evils were inevitable. It is a hard time for all of us and we are emerging victorious. Why? The people are waking up from their slumber. They are realizing that the rotten apples were a result of a rotten government since the 60’s.

PM’s vision for the Welfare State is brilliant. He is by far the only PM who has been doing more than he promised. He did not once claim to turn a nearly to default Pakistan into a Welfare State.  It is the poor and illiterate people who had to endure corruption the most unfortunately. Most of them had been unable to feed themselves or their young ones. Indulging in social crimes becomes a norm in such societies where corruption reigns for a long time. PM Imran Khan's Ehsaas programme is guaranteeing scholarships, low income housing schemes, medical cards, assets and almost 2000 Rs/- for the under-privileged. Poor became poorer because the rich got richer, evaded taxes and stole money from the poor.

No one can deny that the poor and downtrodden had been left to no one’s mercy in Pakistan earlier. Tall claims and money in their own bank accounts were all these previous corrupt parties were any good at. Slave-culture and money laundering had been promoted by the previous parties. After an insurmountable amount of debt, we are finally on the recovering and reforming phase. With the current pace, I am sure that 2020 will be a positively outstanding year for us.
