The War Path

“You never kill anyone you want to kill in a war, he said to himself.” “I am thee and thou art me and all of one is the other.” “Oh, now, now, now, the only now, and above all now, and there is no other now but thou now and now is thy prophet.”
Earnest Hemingway from Whom The Bell Tolls

What are wars? Purely and simply evil-incarnate. Taking a look around the globe while flipping channels you see unlimited chaos. Humans have devolved. From weapons of mass destruction to espionage to the highest degree, humans have turned this fertile earth into a barren wasteland. From the very first murder to all the mayhem in the world is because of wars. Refugees, social evils and wasted resources are the creation of war.

The wars are usually because of money, land, minerals. In the 21st Century we have a new kind of war. It is called the 5th Generation war. Our forever rival India infiltrated our land right after partition. In fact even before that, Nehru managed to get the map of Pakistan revised by infamously influencing Lord Mountbatten. The quest to get back their Holy Cow (motherland) has been brewing since partition. India knows our weakness which is Kashmir and we have fought for it in the past. The Pied Piper (devil) is out there collecting his dues. What else do you call a war but evil and satanic.

Now we are also on the verge of another war. Two countries with Nukes are facing each other. This time things can escalate in a much larger scale. The RSS ideology and the megalomaniac Modi are on a mission to rid the region of Muslims.

Pakistan has been a participant of other people’s wars as well. We spoiled the connection with Afghanistan by sending our troops. In the aftermath of 9/11 more Muslims not just died but also lost their identity in the process. Islamophobia, racism and wars was an ultimate result of 9/11.

Nobody can deny that our corrupt politicians of the past made sure Pakistan loses its value, sovereignty and becomes crippled under a huge amount of debt.
Our TikTok and Bollywood inspired youth cannot care less about the current situation that Pakistan is facing. In their minds Two Nation Theory doesn’t exist either. I am one of those lucky people whose family didn’t allow Bollywood movies while we were growing up. Even my school made sure we watched sensible movies if any.

There are all kinds of war. There are wars everywhere. Weapon makers and war-makers are getting richer by the minute. The people are below the poverty line. They are too weak to think for themselves. Involved in all kinds of social evils our youth is on a path to self-destruction.

Hopefully the government’s scholarships, Ehsaas programme and several other poverty alleviation programmes will take our country to a rising state. Learning from the model of China, Scandanavia and also Japan can make us get our nation to a level where it should have been had there not been crooked politicians in the mix. Pakistan from being a debt-induced state is reforming itself on the way to become a Welfare State. Through our Prime Minister’s efforts of peace, we will continue to be a powerful state who thinks about the poor and homeless. Lets all pray that he manages to reach the goal which we have full faith that he can.
